Capture 9.1.1 and missing ratings
Hi
We are running into problems where ratings are not holding when we open a session from a common drive on different laptops running 9.1.1. Files are in .eip format.
Our workflow is
1. shoot on set
2. chronosynch the session to a drive
3.art director takes drive and makes selects
4. returns the session drive and the ratings have gone, when opened on a different laptop
This has happened with 3 different art directors so we will have to go back to 8 unless we can figure out the issues
Issues that may factor in
Not all macs run on the same OX some are Yosmite and some are El Capitan
We use Scandisk 500 Portable SSD drives. I did not reformat the drives
We use an applescript to create a session. The applescript references a template session that is not updated to 9.1.1 but I've tested an upgraded 9.1.1 template session and an older template session and the script worked in both instances without asking to be upgraded.
I make one master session and load that session onto 4 different shooting stations and rename the session to match the photo station's use i.e. laydown 1 and 2, On-Fig one and 2.
As a work around we are going to drop all selects into the selects folder so it's portable from computer to computer but that is not a great work around as we typically are sorting from 2000 to 20 selects and multiple people need to add and subtract ratings.
I am digging Capture 9.1.1 stability tethering but the post session experience is very frustrating between not being able to hold selects and also not being able to process out files using more than one recipe at a time.

Are you sure sessions can be opened concurrently by more than one user? I don't know the answer to that.
Catalogs can be locked so that only one user at a time may update the catalog, though others have "read only" access.
In any case, the situation is "last one in wins" so is it possible that users are clobbering each other?0
