It's worth noting here that we keep and update a Knowledge Base article with version/OS compatibility as well:

These combinations have been tested, trusted and are supported.

edit: I do realize that 10.12.6 isn't current. We update it as we can confirm the support of the OS, not when the OS is released.

Any update here? 10.13 has been released almost 10 weeks ago and 10.13.1 is already out.

Something tells me you won't see any compatibility on this version....

in the past it was very easy to have a separate machine for work without any connection to the internet. now after companies have forced us to stay online for activation or benefit from it like phase one which collects user data in the background seems to have zero interest to update their software fast so that we can benefit from the security improvements of the new os version.

I would read this (see link provided by ben_US)

"...Capture One is optimized to run on current operating systems provided by Apple...."

that they support the current operating system and for CO 10 this would be obviously OSX 10.13. CO 10 has not brought much new to the table for the normal user beside a lot of performance issues some of which still have not been solved.

Yeah, becoming very annoyed with the complete lack of action and information from PhaseOne regarding a C10 update for High Sierra. It's been out for well over a month and available for 2-3 months for Software Developers to get their coding sorted out. It's starting to look like they are saving it for C11, whenever that's due.... an incentive to upgrade!

A simple, we're sorting it, it will be out soon would be good enough. I've already dropped Adobe Photoshop in favour of Affinity Photo and won't hesitate to look for alternatives for processing if they resort to blackmail to upgrade. I'd like to think PhaseOne wouldn't stoop to this level but stranger things have happened.

    1) Capture one although not officially blessed works ,in my opinion, well with High Sierra. I still have to find something that crashes but maybe its just my luck.
    2) Like I said, I dont think you will see a compatible version 10. Could be wrong but usually Phase waits, some time rightfully, for the .1 release as sometimes there are things that Apple changes.
    3) their lack of customer relation is getting annoying to say the least. This silence and closing threads that take about subjects they dont like is not winning any browny points from the customer base. Luckly their program is good. But eventually some one else will come up with a better program, as it always happens and then they will improve on the customer relation aspect

    1. Cheers, I may go High Sierra on the MacBook Pro to see how it goes. I'll hang back from updating the Mac Pro though, don't want to create to many headaches on my main system.
    2. They have waited in the past but this time feels longer.
    3. Yes, agree with that 100%. That's what happened with Photoshop for me. I wasn't bothered about looking then their customer service p*** me off and I had a look around. Found Affinity Photo for desktop and iPad and that was that. It's easier/cheaper to keep existing customers that it is to keep marketing for new ones.

Well that's basically what they said, didn't they? And that's what they say each time a new version of macOS comes out. What's your beef?

I'm trying to arrange upgrades for old hardware but there is little point if I can't use C1. I know the other packages will work, just not sure when they will get around to sorting their app out.

Beef = slow response to new OS that was released to Software Developers in June 2017 and has been in the wild for 1.5 months and has now received it's first update.

They have often been quite quick in supporting new Mac OSes, and there was one not so long ago (I can't remember which one) for which they announced that C1 was OK with it without needing an update. So I conclude that the delay is not down to lack of willingness to support High Sierra, but difficulty in getting it to work right. I'd much rather wait to update to High Sierra than have Phase One rush out an update that still had issues.

The "good news," for me, is that 10.13 does not bring significant new capabilities to my workflow.

But I understand the frustration with communication. The developer betas have been out for a long time; long enough, it would seem, for at least a compatibility update to be out. Maybe they hit a big snag with the Gold Master, or maybe they needed 10.13.1 - but still...

If a version 11 ends up being the necessary fix, there will be a big uproar if the price is not pretty low, or better, free. Or there need to be some really big new features (stacking, please).

Regardless, a compatibility update for C1 10 would seem reasonable, even if there is a C1 11.

Thank you. I will load this onto 2nd machine for testing with High Sierra.
