I check the mycatalog size after the import and it is bigger compare to the sum of all the picures in the imported folder!
    why?
I think the catalog should contaings only link to my pictures and any extra data for any variant (color modification) I apply in capture one but why is so big?

CO generates previews for all images in your catalog. These images are JPEGs, resized according to your preferences settings. They reside within your catalog, independent of the catalog being referenced or not.
If you only want to link your images into the catalog, make sure to import them referenced. (Import to: Current Location). Otherwise they will be copied into the catalog.

    Thanks
    Great
So If I import to current location the CO will just create links into the catalog database.
    That is great.

I didn't select that because it sounded like a copy of all my images inside a selected folder!
    thanks

What about the folder structure, will I be able with in CO to see inside mycatalog the folder structure imported (with same hierarchy as in my finder ?

    Thanks again.

Yes, the folders will show up in Capture One. If you don't see the full hierarchy then just right click on a folder and select "show parent" or something similar to that, I haven't used CO in a while 😉

It is named "Show Folders Hierarchy" and yes, I had to look it up myself! 😉
