Where did image tagging go?
Hello all:
I've been dragged in to the 4.x world since 3.77 has mysteriously refused to run under Vista 64 and resists all efforts to revive. 4.x seems less buggy than my first try but it is still very frustrating to use compared to the older version.
At any rate the feature that seems to be missing straight off is image tagging. What is the equivalent function in version 4? There are so many buttons in the new interface I can't seem to locate this function.
Also is it possible to change Phaseone's camera ICC titles? Either the 1ds mk2 profile has a title of just plain "generic" or there is something else wrong but I can not seem to find a preference setting for color management.
Finally I too vote for a consolidated and configurable cache folder.
Thanks in advance....
Doug

No tagging in v4. Others will suggest a workaround, but I'm afraid there is no substitute for tagging in my view.[quote="DMorgan" wrote:

If you look in the profile drop down menu, you'll see that it's a generic profile for your camera. All cameras default to Phase One's 'generic' for that camera, and before you ask, no there is no way of making any other profile, e.g. Magne's, stick in v4.
If it's just the name the annoys you, then change the file name in the 'Color Profiles/DSLR' folder. Just make sure that you only change the 'generic' bit otherwise the profile won't be associated with your camera.0 -

No tagging in CO4 yet. As a workaround you could try star rating (0-5).0 -
Thanks for the responses, but not what I had expected to hear.
Combined with the much more cumbersome method of applying settings to multiple images the lack of tagging makes me think I need to work harder at getting version 3.x working again ☹️ Unfortunately I'm stuck with the Vista 64bit due to hardware issues:( ☹️
One of the really great things about the prior versions of C1 was the ease of dealing with large numbers of images.
