Compatibility with Lumix GX1 RAW files
After using Capture One Pro DB for my Phase One digital back files, I liked it so much that I bought the full version to also use it with my other formats.
Works great with Nikon NEF's, but I see that the Panasonic Lumix GX1 ( I take along on business trips) RAW files are not supported.
Will they be in a future update?
Thanks,
Frits

Frits, the GX1 is a fairly new model, if I am correct. You'd best do a feature request in a support case to let it be filed and forwarded properly.
As similar models are supported, I expect the GX1 eventually will be as well, but that does not give you any guarantee of course.0 -

Thank you for the suggestion Paul, I will do that.0 -
For those interested, here is the reply I got (within an hour. WOW!) after I filed a support case as suggested:
"Hi Frits,
The GX1 will be have preliminary suport in the next capture one update due out rather soon.
Best regards,
Phase One support"0 -
I installed 6.3.3 today and it now works with my GX1 files, thanks!
One thing puzzles me though: TIFF's developed from the GX1 RAW files contain a large number of small black specks. It renders the image useless (the specks don't show when developed in 2 other RAW converters).
Is there some sort of setting that I cannot figure out (like, related to pixel mapping) or is this something that needs / will be corrected in a later update (the release notes do mention that GX1 support is preliminary)?0 -
Frits,
Please create a support case providing us a RAW file and example showing the specs. We'll have a closer look.0 -
Will do, thanks Drew. 0 -
Filed a support case (included a Panasonic GX1 RAW file).
Note: I found out that this only occurs at slow shutter speeds (as of 1/4 sec). Again, no problem with 2 other converters (PS CS5 and Silypix).
Thanks,
Frits0
