Comments/Questions from a LR convert

I'm attempting to convert from LR to CO8, primarily because of what I consider to be superior editing features. However, there are some things that I find a little non intuitive...keywording seems much better in LR. I am able to import a conformed vocabulary into LR and use that as my keywording master. I don't see a way to do that in CO8.
I find having to drag files into a collection somewhat troubling. In LR you can designate a collection as the focus and then just move images into that collection with a keystroke.
I'm assuming that syncing folders is the best way to keep things up to date...but I like LR's ability to not import duplicates. CO8 doesn't seem to have a similar safeguard.
And my final nit...Phase One's companion program (Media One), which I also use, has the ability to name the color labels. Why doesn't CO8 have that same capability (as does LR, although with fewer colors)...or does it?
Many of my nits may well be that I'm still learning CO8, so if anyone can set me straight I'd much appreciate the input.
