    yes, it is!

but I wonder if it's only slow the first time around; i.e., C1 generates the hashes for the images in the catalog but doesn't have to re-generate them the second time. that would make it a lot faster.

but... it's a only a feature I would need if I'm importing from an older location and I'm not sure if I had previously imported some of those images. eg, I have a folder on one of the disks called "Photos still to import", full of photos/images that I moved from other locations of my disks a long time ago.

I'm not sure what you mean there. My RAF files are oversharpened to hell and back by anything higher than version 10.0.2

For ISO's higher than 400, rendering is unacceptable even with 0 sharpening.

Check your output recipe to see if output sharpening is enabled.

Already been there 8 months ago... No big difference whether that's on or not.

At this point I'm very certain it's a case of bad AA/MSAA or whatever algorithm you guys changed, that relates to pixel smoothing.

There is way too big of a difference from one pixel value to another, and that drives the sharpening engine crazy at high ISOs.

While sharpening could be a lof of better on RAF file.. it's already good to my eyes..

I find the base rendering behind the curtains to be too sharp, making it impossible to pull back on a slider.
