Here's a funny thing: if you rate a picture 5 stars using the rating strip under the main viewing window, it only gets four stars in the browser. Similarly, if you rate it 4 under the main window, it gets 3 in the browser; always one less than you set. If you rate them in the browser however, it works as it should, with the correct number being added below the main window.

  I don't have this issue, rating works as expected no matter where it is done (viewer, browser, menu, keyboard...). Maybe this issue is related to the Mac OS version used? I use 10.5.1 on a DualCore G5 Power Mac.

  Phase One.
  In the Pro version will the star rating be visible in the embedded metadata of a processed tiff or jpeg ? and will that imbedded metadata be visible in Adobe Bridge and Photoshop ?

  Hi there, back again.
  Thanks to Maren's (dielinse) response, I started the same MacBook Pro with OS X 10.5.1. Now the star rating works 100% when I use the strip under the Viewer main window. Seems there is a difference between CO4 running under 10.4 or 10.5.

  Yes, I can confirm that I'm using OS X 10.4.11
