Metadata ?

I will be using LR and C1 together. Whenever I import images that have Metadata from LR it transfers into C1. If I import to C1 first it doesn't transfer to LR. My workflow could easily be import images from sd card into LR, color code in and add other metadata in LR,then import into C1. What happens if I decide to add metadata in C1? I need to know how to make it visible in LR and other programs. For now I have C1 pref set to full sync and use sidecar xmp. This is kind of a pain during startup as it seems that C1 catalog doesn't store metadata and everything I fire it up I have to wait for it to sync. This can take more time than I like to wait!
