    Hi,

Please have a look at this thread:

I and some other users have a problem with changes not being saved upon Capture One closing and reopening. I think your problem may be related.

I'm trying out C1 10.2 to potentially migrate from LR and this is a deal breaker.

Keywords keep reappearing! I imported my photos without adjustements (mainly DNGs) and revamped my whole keyword library for an hour. Lots of keywords were deleted in the process. When I re-open the application they all come back! No matter what I do they come back. I tried removing the XMP/IPTC metadata from the DNGs with Exiftool, no dice. Still coming back.

What the hell is going on? I'm really hyped about ditching LR but this is a huge problem.

I'll very much appreciate any help I can get.

    Thanks

edit: I've seen this exact issue numerous times on different forums including this one and no one has ever come up with a solution or reason why it happens. And this goes a year back if not more.

As I recall from previous posts in the forum about this subject one of the issues that is quite commonly reported for LR based imports is that keywords can be embedded in unexpected files that are treated by C1 as "originals" and therefore never modified.

From your comments about using EXIFtools you already know about that but it would only take one or two instances of the words in apparently unconnected files to be missed and the repeats might recur.

If you search using the keyword(s) what do you see?

Is there a keyword library file under \\[device]\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\CaptureOne\KeywordLibraries

(Win 7 location, Win 10 somewhere similar I assume.)

Do you have Auto Sync XMP enabled?

Are you referenced to the existing LR library for your originals or did you copy them afresh?

All questions to consider but in reality I would suggest you create a Support Case allow the C1 Support Team to help out.

    HTH.
