Creating Variants for Multiple Images

I have a series of images that I would like to create a variant for, rather than individually selecting each one and then clicking the variant button, is there a procedure for selecting the desired images and creating the variant for each in one step?

  Yes. Basically, this is the same as for one variant: you select a set of images, confirm that the "Edit All Selected Variants" toggle is ON and create a new variant through one of the available options (Image menu, shortcut or right/Ctrl+click).

  I had upgraded to 5.1.2 and that setting was not carried forward, I thought I was going crazy.
