Importing multiple folders

It has the option to 'include subfolders'. Not quiet the same of course.
As someone that came from Aperture to C1, my suggestion for anyone migrating is to forget about your previous workflows. Don't try to make C1 behave like Lightroom/Aperture. It is only going to be frustrating. A change like this is a chance to reconsider and adapt old habits and improve your processes. Really get to know C1 first. Take you time to play around and then find the C1 workflow that works for you.

I can see what you are saying but with a large library and a new program it occurred to me that maybe there was an easy cure for my problem. I use both Lightroom and C1 Pro since at the moment I only use the Sony version of C1 Pro. I want to used it more to see if I can migrate to it totally as I really dislike the Adobe lease program. Unfortunately I see that Phase One is moving in that direction also. Seems we no longer can own anything.

The official statement a few minths back was, and still is as far as I know, that both buy and subscribe will continue to allow choice.

Subscribe was, apparently, initially intended to offer larger clients the flexibility of easy frequent seat number changes and a simple way to budget and buy the service.

That made a lot of sense as a strategy suggestion.

The way that subscription models are evolving through applications, OSs - if the stories about Win 10 being a subscription buy long term are correct - and cloud services are correct seems to lead to the thought that we may in the end be forced to hire our lives from large corporations.

Perhaps there is a business opportunity for a company selling a subscription software management service to individuals. A bit like debt consolidation.

    Grant.
