    Thank you very much James.

Since I am still using the trial version of C1, should I wait to buy the license until the problem is fixed? As far as I understand, if the problem is solved in C1 v.6 (for example) then I have to pay 299 euros twice...

Updates (similar to service updates like how Apple do mac OS) are free.

5.0.1 to 5.0.2 was a service update and free of charge, as will be the update to 5.1 etc.

Verison upgrades for existing users are an upgrade price not a full price purchace (4 Pro -> 5 Pro is €69/$99 for example)

    Hope this is clear.

    Hi,

after processing a NEF file with Capture One v 5.0.2, setting the recipe either as tiff or jpeg, for some reason photoshop opens the file as raw, that is, it brings up adobe camera raw (and messes up the colors in the meantime).

I am positive it's an exif setting, but does anybody know which one and how this can be avoided?

    Many thanks.

FYI, I have had this same experience, but with only one image. I have no idea why it should occur sporadically. Fortunately, Phase One is aware of the problem and should have a fix soon.

    • The presence of XMP files (from Adobe) alongside the RAW files may result in improperly processed files. Capture One reads the XMP files when Processing to JPEG/TIFF, this results in the files containing some of the XMP data. The results can be JPEG's opening as RAW in Photoshop or the Orientation of the Processed files being incorrect from the RAW (if orientation is embedded in the RAW and not the XMP)
Workaround; Don't have XMP files along side your RAW when using Capture One 5.0.1

Further to the above, we have found that some users with DNG files that contain embedded XMP data will experience this issue. Again, it is being addressed and a solution is on the way.
