Import Dialog.... where is the file/folder selector?
Coming from v11 perhaps I am missing something obvious but tried to import some images into a new catalog using the image import dialog (either the menu item or the import button on the tool bar) and the dialog that opens is completely different than C1 v 11 and is missing the ability to actually select a source and destination folder!!! Thinking I was nuts, I did actually watch the C1 v12 training video and the dialog that shows up in that looks nothing like the one I get. I saw this and reported it in the beta versions also.
Is there something wrong with my install? Do others see the same thing. I would post a screen capture if anyone could tell me if this is possible and how.

What did you install?
(As you are using Mac I should probably also ask "How did you install it?" but as I am not a Mac user it maybe best for someone else to have that discussion.
When you run Capture One after the Install what have you chosen to do? Are you running as a a trial or did you select the free Express version? That has some limited functionality (being free) and may be different in the way it presents to what you have been used to.
If that is nowhere near the situation you have - create a Support Case and ask the crew. With a very new product the number of users in the Forum who can provide help for your problem may be small.

Thanks.
I installed the full Pro upgrade v12 in the applications folder after removing v11 manually ... as I usually do...... I've never seen this before in versions V9 to 11. Likely need to create a support case as you suggest.

Have you activated V12 with the license key provided?
I am wondering if your import screen is that of a Free Express version (Sony or Fuji) which, as I understand things, are limited to a single catalogue.
However I may be wrong there.
If you log in to your account you can check and amend the license information. Or, if that does not elicit a solution, contact Capture One Support and seek help.

Nothing has changed to the Import Images dialog in CO12 from previous version as far as I can tell. Must be something with your setup. I suggest you do a clean install which means that you remove CO12 and at least the preference file.

Sounds likely. Please check what run-mode is currently activated, and change it accordingly.0 -
All,
Thank you for the suggestions. C1 was properly activated as a Pro version with the appropriate key. So all the things one would normally do. I have never had problems upgrading before (V9 through 11).
After following the detailed instructions to delete all of the residual files in the system for v12 and V11 from Paul above followed by a machine restart and fresh install/activation ...the problem is now solved. The import dialog has returned to its usual form.
Hopefully if anyone else experiences this they can check the thread and resolve the same way!

Interesting.
Annoying to have to do it but an excellent result in the end.
