Shadow editing (not only 11)
I'm struggling with the toning of shadow in photos of products. (was in 10.x also)
Somehow the gradient from white to grey is short/hard and I haven't discovered a method to keep it soft.
Look at the attachment if you like to help me out.
What do I do?
First, get the toning of the product as good as possible (in my opinion).
(Metal is quite challenging to take photos of, who would have thought this....)
Then I create a layer with e.g. EV+1, and on that layer I (un)mask the surface that I need to white.
In Photoshop it's possible to fix the shadows (so it seems it's not my screen) but I prefer to keep all editing in C1.
It's not just the preview, it looks the same in PS as during editing.
If someone has an idea how to get this fixed or knows what's the cause I'd be very grateful.
Thanks a lot in advance!
