Imagecoreprocess.exe and 40D CR2s...
Hi all,
a quick question...
I know there's a workaround for getting CO4 to play nicely with DNG files which involves selecting a profle in the Quick panel.
But is anyone having problems with 40D CR2s causing Imagecoreprocess.exe to crash?
If you have had this, what (if anything) have you found to fix the problem?
The fix that works for DNG files doesn't work for CR2s.
TIA.

Keith,
Not sure I understand properly what you try to explain. Are you using your 40D CR2's just copied plain from the card or do you convert them to DNG first?
Or: what has the DNG workaround to do with your CR2 problem. What profile do you use for your CR2's?0 -
Hi Paul,
this problem happens with CR2s straight off the card.
I mention the DNG issue simply so that people know I've done a forum search and that I'm familiar with other imagecoreprocess problems - but as I say, here I'm talking about a problem with CR2s.
I'm using the 40D generic profile.0 -
Keith, to rule out the 40D files as cause, do you have raw files from another camera to try? 0 -
Hi again Paul.
I actually get the crash error right after the application opens, before I select a folder or an image - but the program itself stays open, so I've just opened it (and got the error), navigated to a folder of 30D CR2s, selected a file and then closed the program down.
On re-opening, I get the error.
Rebooting the PC, and even reinstalling the software - no difference.
I'll raise another case, I guess...0
