Strange issue when importing
I'm a new user trying out CaptureOne for the first time. I created a catalog and imported some images. Everything was fine.
I later imported more images into the same catalog, and then it tries the import and then the program hangs. I can access a few of the imported images but the dialog just says importing images and stays there. I've tried it with 200+ images and also with 2 images but with the same result.
When I try to exit it says import is in progress and asks if I want to end the import. Even if I say yes I need to kill the process in order to open the program again. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Whilst waiting to see if any other users can offer suggestions I would strongly recommend that create a Support Case and ask the Capture One support team to offer guidance. They will probably ask for the log file(s) and should be ablt to spot something in there that offers a clue to what is happening.
HTH.

Same problem here. Also when uninstalling C1-9 the uninstaller leaves behind the catalog in the users AppData and also requires the use of regedit to locate all of the entries left behind. When the catalog screws up you must remove all pointers to the catalog and create a new one. The choice of not using a catalog at all is so obscure the it is really not useable, and the sessions impletions are arcane. These problems are truly disappointing as the RAW conversions are truly great, but they need to rethink their whole catalog scheme which besides being buggy is also extremely slow. 9 hours to import approx. 50,000 Canon 1DSIIIs and 5DS Rs Raw files with a 3.8 Ghz MB and a 1TB Samsung 840 Pro is not conducive to convincing me to update again. Started with 6 to 7 to 8, think I'll pass on 9 0 -

If you have used version 8 why to you need to import so many files to a new version 9 catalogue?
If your use of C1 goes all the way back to V6 I'm surprised you think the choice of not using a catalogue is obscure.
