Change orientation of panes within environment?

Is it possible to change the layout of the window panes within C1, e.g. place the preview pane on the right side displaying the images vertical rather than below horizontal?

  I'm not sure I understand your question, but you can place the browser on either the left or right side of the viewer (or at the bottom as per default). This will place the tool pane in the opposite side of the browser. You cannot place the tools in between the viewer and the browser though, but you can hide the tools or the browser altogether. All this is done from the View menu.
