Colour Cast with Auto Levels
Since upgrading to Capture One Pro V6.2 the "Auto Levels" feature now includes Auto White Balance, however, in all cases I am getting a strong magenta cast when using Auto Levels (cmd L). Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug. Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,

Hi Simon,
Cmd+L is the (new) command for Auto Adjust in CO6. It used to be Cmd+F but that is now in use for the Find command.
Until 6.2 it involved the Exposure, HDR and Levels to auto adjust. Now, from 6.2 it includes white balance as you noted.
This can be very useful but fortunately CO 6.2 allows us to switch it off. I think auto white balance only works in average scenes like with some air/clouds, street, trees: without dominant color. I seldom did use it in the past.
Check the separate auto white balance. Try it with images with different scenes. And what camera are you using, this can be more effective on certain raws files than others (just guessing).0 -
Hello Paul,
I have done some further tests and the Magenta Cast only seems to occur on my Leica D-Lux 4 camera, as both my Canon 5D Mk1 and 20D images all seem fine.
Kind regards,

Hmmm, so it wasn't a wild guess after all 😉 (about the camera affected)
Thanks for the feedback.0
