Gradient: Single Draw Only?

Hi Guys (or Gals),

I'd like to know if any of you see that the new Gradient took can only have a single stroke on the same layer. Suppose I want to darken the left, right, and top edges. I could make a gradient on the left and apply some setting. As soon as I start to create another stroke on the right or at the top, the left masking and its darkening effects would be erased.

Can you try it on your end to see if you could make several strokes or gradient draws on the same layer, just like the Brush tool?

I've already submitted a case report. I thought it was a limitation or flaw such that if I wanted to darken top, left, and right edges, it would take three local adjustment layers when it should take a single layer with three gradient draws.

  Currently only one gradient mask can be made per layer. I understand your point and I think it makes a valid feature request.

  I find it odd that the Brush tool could have several strokes on the same layer while the new Gradient is limited to a single stroke.
  
  I wouldn't brought this up if the end-users have unlimited local adjustment layers within the scope of the user's memory on the computer; however, the new C1PRO7 has a limit of 10 local adjustment layers. If I wanted to darken the top, left, and right, I am down my three and only left seven local adjustment layers.
  
  I'd like to appeal to any other C1PRO7 users such that if you feel this as a flaw and limitation, please voice your opinion to P1 via the Case Support.
  
  I'll probably upgrade myself since I am complete trust and confidence in PhaseONE CaptureONEPRO for my professional photography workflow. Most of us have been loyal since PRO version 3.7.8.
