Merging Catalogs?

To date, I have been using only one copy of C1 on my MacBook Pro. When traveling (which I do a lot, after all, I'm retired) I collect all my images on sD cards and copy them in to C1 when I get home. No problems, all my images are stored in Catalogs.

Now I will be carrying a smaller portable (Lenovo Yoga with 8G RAM, 256G SSD) with a copy of C1 on it. I plan to do editing on the road, and when I get home I would like to add all edited images to my MacBook Pro, which is my main computer.

How can I best copy edited images from my road computer to my home computer? Just copy the Catalogs? Are there "hidden" files I also have to copy?

  Sounds like you might be better off using sessions. They are immediately and eminently portable. No exporting/merging required.
