Possible to selectivly apply stuff to selected areas

    For layer adjustments you will need the Pro version.

    If you only need to work with Sony RAW files the Pro for Sony option is a low cost upgrade that works only with Sony cameras (as per the Express version) but with many more features.

    The Full Pro version covers Sony and many other cameras.

    Ok many thanks... I have a few cameras Mostly Sony, and an old Nikon but i never use that anymore, so it does look like a great deal!

    As a work around for things like sky, you may be able to use the color editor..

    With color editor, you can select blue (and refine the shade selected as well) and then brighten or darken that.

    If there is blue water in the foreground, this may not work so well as the blue water will also be affected. In this case, painting a local adjustment layer for the sky and then using color editor would be best.

    However, for some images, color editor will be useful without masks.
    Study this tool.

    [I presume Sony version has the Basic Color Editor as previous Capture One Express versions have]
