Capture One repeatedly freezes
I am having a problem with Capture One 3.7 freezing (CPU usage to 100%, but I have seen it freeze at very low usage and with little memory being used).
It developed this initially when I first purchased it, so I did a clean uninstall/reinstall as per support's instructions. It worked fine for a few weeks then started again when I was moving files into the trash.
It will sometimes freeze as soon as it opens with any files in folder. It usually can build previews, but will freeze as soon as I click on one. At other times, it will freeze when I am working with a file. If I am able to get the file through exposure/white balance adjustment etc, and process it as a jpg, it usually can do so. However, after processing is complete---2-5 seconds after---my CPU usage will shoot up to 100% and require a manual shutdown. A few times in the past, it has locked up so bad that I had to shut the computer down and restart it.
My PC (Windows) meets the minimum requirements for C1. I have tried shutting down anti-virus and unnecessary programs when using it. No luck.
It is now completely unusable. Support recommends another uninstall, which will probably work in the short term, but whatever the problem is will again return.
Has anyone had any similar problems with freezes? Any ideas on what could be causing this?
