"Proxy Creation Failed" What does this mean?

Capture One 9.1.1.14

While creating previews for some older files (from 2011, Canon G9) a log window opened with the error "Proxy Creation Failed" listed.

This has happened three times this today.

Any idea what it means and what is causing it?
