OpenCL performance

I am considering replacing video cards so I can take advantage of OpenCL. I have a few questions I would like answered to help in my plans:

How significant is the improvement in performance for real-time editing?

How significant is the improvement in performance for developing raw files?

Is the list of recommended cards current? Any standouts for performance/$?

In conclusion, should I replace video cards on computers used for CaptureOne 6.x image editing?

Should I replace video cards on computers used for CaptureOne 6.x image developing?

  I have a very powerful card Nvidia Quadro.
  However, stable operation on C1 I get just completely turning off OpenCL.
  At the speed of editing OpenCL does not affect at all.

  It is regularly updated when new cards are supported. In addition it answers most of your questions like which operations are and are not affected by OpenCL.
  
  My 2cts: add faster drive first (SSD), consider OpenCL support later.

  Actually, that document is what raised the questions.
  
  It is refers to version 6.2, and says "Next versions will continue to expand the use of OpenCL for all processing tasks." We are now up to 6.3.5, so I was wondering if we had more tasks yet.
  
  Also the document says it was last updated "November 2, 2011", but it says "As of December 14, the best interactive performance..." Was that December 2010?
  
  I was also looking for actual user evaluations. Hopefully they are not all like the user above who has to turn it off for stable operation.
  
  Is OpenCL with CaptureOne 6.3.5 ready for prime time yet?

  At least for Macs it seems OpenCL use has been expanded continuously, while in David’s case OpenCL by now is a prerequisite for (more) stable CaptureOne sessions. I made the same observations on different Macs, but unfortunately I didn’t get around installing C1 on the new Windows workstation yet (the old one died a hardware-ish death).

  for me the OpenCL means it takes longer to switch between images. That alone breaks the feature for me whatever gains might be.
  As I cannot see any performance gain even in tasks listed as supported when it is enabled, i see no reason to use it.
  Probably on some notebooks with powerful graphic cards but slow CPUs it helps? No idea.
