So Can i upgrade my machines to Yosemite , Yes or No, without having any problems with C1pro ?

Not yet, the current version of CO8 does not (officially) support Yosemite, hopefully the next release will do.

    Definitely not!

There are serious Issues with C1P under Yosemite. E.g. Is the catalog getting corrupt once or twice a week and this will cause C1P to crash.

May be there is something specific to your system which is worth to investigate with the help of the support team.
I am running a test copy of my catalog on a Yosemite equipped machine since months (with various beta version of the OS) and I do not have the same bad experience you have. (Mac Book Pro 17")

I have been running CO8 on Yosemite sense it came out, I have seen a couple strange things but for me it is working at 99.9%. (One time I processed a file, and it produced a B&W tiff, even through CO8 was showing a color image.) Now, I have OpenCL turned off, my graphics card is not good enough. And a long time ago, under CO7, I had so much problems even with OpenCL turned off, that they pointed me to a script that I guess really disabled OpenCL, as after that I had no issues. Don't know through all this time, what ever the script did is still working.

I think the biggest issues I have seen with CO[7/8] has to do with OpenCL, So if you need / want to run under Yosemite be prepared to turn off the OpenCL options.

I do not recommend upgrading to Yosemite until it's officially supported.
I have various problems due to OpenCL, and also am unable to process TIF images, even with OpenCL disabled.

It's the first time I've upgraded an OS without being very cautious and I regret it, as I usually rely on Capture One for my workflow. I really hope this can be fixed soon!

As stated, Yosemite is not yet supported, and an OS X update does not change that. You need a CO8 update and count your blessings that Phase One is now able to include 10.10.1 into testing.

Stay tuned. All Yosemite users, myself included, are of the guinea pig family which can serve the community by reporting any potential issues to Phase One. This way we all benefit.

    Thank you.

You've just described my entire history of C1 on Mavericks...

With OpenCL turned on (new retina MBP, 2GB VRAM), C1 crashes several times a day
Can't process TIFF files at all, with or without OpenCL

Well clearly something is amiss with the operation on your system. Is there a Support Case regarding this?

    Drew,

I'm now really confused, but potentially very happy 😄

Are you saying this 8.0.2 version has been tested and fixed for "yosemite?"--meaning I can now upgrade to Yosemite with some confidence that the new 8.0.2 will work?

    Wow!

Please read the release notes to avoid confusion.
10.10 is explicitly noted as being supported, hence this build supports Yosemite.

    Be Happy
