Either 4 or 5 ... But you have to pay for an upgrade??

I am using 5 pro now as it is ways more stable than 4 with the key features implemented that i miss since 3.x pro.

But what really wonders me now..

If you install 5 you replace your C1pro4 with C1pro5.. If it would be a different Phase One version like Photoshop CS 3 + CS 4 you could have them both on your system. Phase One sells it as different version.

So why do people have to pay for an upgrade if they are not able to have their old version running alike??? Why cant they run a trial version of C1 5 if they own 4 ???

Regarding the people who own 4 which comes with no free upgrade like i have with 3 i really would be mad.

  If you own C1 Pro v4, you CAN run C1 Pro v5 as trial as well, during 30 days. That is what I've done : simply put v5 on desktop or another specified directory and run v5 from there. v5 will build a new library which doesn't interfer with the one of v4. Change nothing with C1 v4, it will continue to work as before. I have v4 and v5 running on same system, even if v4 is nomore useful. 😎
