Why can't I figure it out?

Sure I might be a little retarded (though i've been told) but seriously. The manual to get a efficient work flow is LAME !!!
O.K> I have 6 C/F cards to download (this is an example ) . I create a new session and name it but for some reason I cant seem to get the continuous numbering down. So as I download into the same file why won't the numbering of each image stay contiuous? ex #1- 450

Please help.

  Not sure if you are using the Phase One Media Reader. If you are, do you have it set to Rename files?
  If the camera was set to Continuous file numbering when changing CF card then they should be ok for download into same Session.
  
  If not, you would get the 'file already exists' message, then you'll have to load images into Session using Windows; and then use the Batch Rename tool so you get the sequential filenames you want.
