So...I reversed back to 4.5 and yesterdays images looked fine again...

Then...I installed the 4.6 and...same thing ! Images that were fine with 4.5 are over exosed as viewed through 4.6...

A bit disappointed I must say...lost one upgrade and got a software I cant´t get to work ❗️

A couple of screen captures to back up my story...

And before taking these screen captures, I deleted the captureone folder from the image folder...

So the question is...how is this possible ❓

First the correctly exposured 4.5 image:

    Second, over exposured 4.6 image:

    A second comparison...

First capture is from 4.5 and second from 4.6 ...A totally different exposure evaluation from same image between these versions of the same software ❗️

Vesa, what version of Windows are you working on? (might try to copy your setup when time is available) And what is your output profile both in 4.5 and 4.6?

    Thanks for your reply Paul...

Made a support case and it didn´t take long to get an answer...

The "problem" is, that co 4.6 pro does not understand EOS 5D:s ISO 50...but sees it as ISO 100 and handles the image accordingly... Co 4.5 pro on the other hand, understood ISO 50 very nicely...

But...anyway...case is solved. Again, thanks for the people in Phase One support for solving my matter so quickly... 😄

If Phase One didn't explain it to you, ISO 50 in Canon's cameras is not a true signal amplification mode, but is emulated in software. This is basically the same thing that is happening now in Capture One, but you have to do it manually. This is totally a camera issue, and I think Capture One showing the file as its data was actually recorded is better than emulating Canon's automatic -1 stop of EC.

If you are using ISO 50 as an attempt to control exposure, you really should either use ISO 100 with an ND filter if you can't compensate with shutter speed or aperture. This will preserve highlights.

Yes...infact, PO did explain it and I realized that the problem is not with C1 rather than with 5D...

NGD filter is something I actually can´t do without and I allways use it when shooting by the sea and landscapes generally...! But at the time when I was shooting those pictures, the thing was that I couldn´t get long enough shutter time with ISO 100, F22...so I used the ISO 50. I knew that it cuts the highlights, but I didn´t know that 4.6 would react to it as it did, since 4.5 showed it differently...and that is what caused the confusion, being a fresh up to date software and all.

But like said...all is fine now on my behalf...and now that I´ve been using the new and improved 4.6...I must say that I´m very happy with it 😊
