Smart Album tethering issues

Hi,

I have a question in regards to the smart album feature.

After creating a session for a tethering shoot I create multiple folders for each "Look" (shots) within in the session folder.

Then I create a smart album whereby the Color Tag is Red (I use this on images that need to be printed on the shoot)

For each "Look" I set the Folder as Capture Folder.

All the Red Tagged images will show up in the Smart Album and even the ones from previous Look folders.

But once I close Capture One and reopen it the Smart Album only shows the Red tagged images of the current Look folder that is set to Capture Folder and all others are gone.

Even when I move to the next Look folder and set that as Capture Folder the previous Red tagged images are not shown anymore in the Smart Album.

Is this a bug? Is it behaving normally? It seems that the Smart Album feature only works for the current active folder that has been set as Capture Folder.

Is there a workaround for this? My issue is that I have to print 2x2 templates when I print, 1 image per Look. The only workaround I have found is actually time consuming. I process the Red tagged images into a "Print" folder then once I have 4 images I print them..

Any ideas?

  Smart Albums rely on the search feature in CO8. When working with sessions, CO8 searches in the session folder, session albums and session favorites.
  
  When you have multiple folders with images in your session, like folders that have capture folders, make them each a session favorite.
  
  Another feature that comes handy here is the new CO8 feature of session template.

  I'm having frequent issues with Smart ablums as well in 8.0.1 I've started a support ticket 2 weeks ago and it has not quite been resolved. The workaround I have found is to delete the favorite and add the folder as a favorite again and the smart album will function again. In the mean time please submit a ticket.
