Media Pro Crashes
Can someone workout why MP ctashes so often? I am in the process of keywording 1800 pictures. I cannot predict when MP will crash. I accept the invitation to send a crash report most of the time - but to my mind it is getting worse. when I concentrate I save after avery two or three keywords entered - sometimes I forget, like today whe i have an hours worth of work only to see the dreaded "MP has crashed". ~Why is this so prevalent and what is the forum experience of the actions leading up to such a disaster. Other than a save every entry - what can I do. (Win7 32 bit Captire One 6 Express and the latest Media Pro)

My copy crashes only when I ask it to do two things at once. Thus, I open up the processing window (lower right), and when that shows activity - I keep my hands off the keyboard.
Likewise, the save function seems a bit flaky as well. When I do a save after a lot of work, including rebuilds, it sometimes looks like the program is lost. But if I wait a bit, it will come back just fine. If I point and click someplace while it is saving - down it goes.
Other than that, it seems to work just fine for my photos.
I am learning the art of patience.

Thank you for that. On reflection, I think that is what I have done that causes me the problems. Despite the claims - obviously Media Pro cannot do two things at once. Capture One can work in the background and the foreground - surely we could expect the same of Media One. Being a cynic, I suppose that when this problem is solved, there will be a hugely expensive upgrade to pay for. 0 -
Just downloaded the demo to see if I can replace Bridge and use this with Capture One.
NOPE!!
So far, I'm trying to import files (from a large library of images) and this program has managed to blue screen my PC three times!!!!
Anyone know of any other alternative to managing images besides Adobe Bridge?0 -

Have you tried the predecessor, Expression Media? It is still available at Phase One's Microsoft Expression Media archive page.0
