Dark images with reduces file size

Hi All,

Make from a NEF an full resolution JPG that looks like the NEF. Then, make a 1000px long size image and it is DARKER than the NEF. At any format (JPG, TIF...)

Same for 7.1.3, 7.1.3. Win 7 64 bit, nVidia last driver.

Any ideas?
