Suggestion for Announcements at top
Just a suggestion. Would it be possible to have a post in the Announcements at the top that shows the current version available for download? Obviously closed so no posting.
It just saves hunting through the posts. Ideally, this should be on the download area of the main site but is missing.

Good idea. So often been annoyed that I had to download the 300MB software, just to find out if there's a new version.0 -
Also there are a few other things that I always have to hunt through posts to find, such as the link for submitting a support case. That would be a useful one to include in the announcements section.

Do you have the automatic "Check for Updates" set?
If not from the Help menu in the application is a "Check for updates" option. It works well.
When updates are advised through the medium of the forum the posts usually last for a few days (because questions are posted) at the top of the pages and then fade away.
This seems to be an ideal approach - better than expecting moderators to decide when a "pinned" post should be allowed to float away. The forum, being a User to User forum, is not really the idea place to seek out latest release information when other, better methods already exist. IMO.

Ian,
The Application Help menu has a selection for "Capture One Support" and this links to a resources page.
One of the Resources is "Contact Technical Support".
The link there will take you to a Login screen but, once logged in, you will find the Support Case process screens.
One would hope that that is a consistent link to the required pages that applies and is updated where necessary with each release. Forum posts cannot be guaranteed to be accurate as time passes.
HTH.

Grant - thanks. It's just that I quite frequently seem to end up recommending to others on this forum that they should put in a support case, and I have to root around every time to remember the link to tell them.

Yep, I sympathise!
The Menu option seems to me to be the simplest recommendation. Easily remembered (one would hope) by the recipient!
