Beginner work flow question

I've use Aperture since it first came out and have an extensive library in an hierarchy I developed for my use. It has worked well. But once I tried C1 I liked the image so well that I went ahead and bought a Pro license. I'm getting the hang of it, but the basic file storage has me confused.

Is there a good explanation of Sessions/Albums somewhere? I'm used to nesting my folders (ie. year/month/event) and then using smart folders to tie similar projects over extended time frames. If that makes sense to you...

Anyway, a good tutorial at the basic level would help me a lot. Once I get the different structures, and naming convention, down pat I'm sure it will all work out.
