    Hi Alan,

Very good chance. It is currently in testing.

Regarding 10.5.2, what I can tell you is that this may help with Canon Tethering, however it is not holding up the release of 3.7.8.

What we have found in regards to Canon tethering in Leopard is that the problem lies in the SDK we receive from Canon. The Canon SDK itself is not compatible with Leopard, and while we have tried, we cannot create a workaround. With Capture One 4 we are developing a new way of tethering to Canon that does not utilize the SDK in the same limiting fashion it does now. This way we will not be at the mercy of 3rd party compatibility in our product.

On another note about your problems with the P45+ crashing, are you shooting IIQ files? If the software is set to RAW COMPATIBLE 3.0 then crashing will happen quite often. Set it to IIQ-Large, and you should see far far better performance. If this is not the solution, create a support case and we may be able to help you out some more.

Of course I'm shooting IIQ Large (from preferences of C1Pro) and it helps a lot. But the problem is that "randomly" C1 crashes. For example if I shoot fast and I check focus. Or if I process files and I shoot at same time.

This are know issues with 3.7.7 and Leopard.

    Bye

I am also having that occasional quitting of C1 Pro 3.7.7 in leopard with P45+ and shooting IIQ small. it seems to do it as well when I am just shooting a lot or quickly. It did not seem to do that in Tiger with the same hardware. It does not do it all that often and I my files are still there when restarting.
When transferring files over from the CF card I have problems too. I drag them into the capture folder from the card using the finder as per "work around".
When C1 starts creating the thumbnails it will always quit, I usually have to restart the program 3 or 4 times before they are all correctly showing up.
But I do want to say, it is nice to get an actual progress report on the software.
that makes me feel a lot better.
    thanks
    David

3.7.8 will contain fixes for stability and threading problems with Leopard.

    Thankyou Mr Capture One

At least I know now as a Canon tethered shooter the 3.7.8 fix will not solve any of my problems with Leopard. And possibly the Apple 10.5.2 update could solve my problems.

Or wait until spring/summer for CaptureOne 4Pro.

    At last some answers

    Thanks

    Derek

    We are waiting!

    And it's months now!

Hope it will be ready in VERY VERY few days/weeks, so I don't have to look in the face of my clients when I tell them to stop shooting to a 20.000Euros/day model.

    😊

    Ciao

Haha, now that is some I definitely do not have the answer to! I will say that I saw several posts yesterday that appeared multiple times so there may have been a server error.

I can say that recent testing of 3.7.8 is very positive, and I may have spoken too soon regarding some aspects of what is and is not fixed.

Alan, It will be released in VERY VERY few days

It appears that I am suffering from a bit of foot-in-mouth syndrome. 😄

Capture One Pro 3.7.8 will tether to Canon in OS 10.5. R&D managed to work some magic late in the game and get around some SDK file handling issues.

This means that all the Canon that could tether in OS 10.4 will tether in 10.5.
    1D Mark II N, 1Ds Mark II, 1D Mark II, 1Ds, 1D, 5D, 20D, 10D, 350D/Rebel XT, 300D/Rebel, D60, D30

The 40D, 1Ds Mark III and 1D Mark III do not tether in 3.7.8.

Having a rock solid and fully functionant version of the software for the P45+ is my priority at the moment (it's months I ask for it!!!).

So I'm waiting for this "very very few days" delivery.

    Ciao

    Jon

Glad to hear to hear that 3.7.8 is imminent. I am not worried about Leopard as I use Windows. And I do not shoot tethered so that is is not an issue.

But will 3.7.8 support conversion of EOS1Ds3 RAW files? That is essential.

if it also converted Ricoh GX100 DNG files that would be a bonus but I can live without it.

It does process 1Ds Mark III images, no DNG though. Oh yeah, and its out now!
