using keyboard shortcuts in viewer for rating / color labels

Currently testing C1 v10 on a Mac Book Pro with High Sierra.
I have a few days left before the end of the trial, the software seems great, but one thing is driving me crazy: when I send multiple pictures to the viewer (did the tests with alternatively 3, 4, 5 and 6) and use keyboard shortcuts to rate or apply colour labels to them individually, all images in the viewer receive the chosen rating or colour label. I am aware that there is the command "Edit all selected variants" in Capture 1, but here I have made sure this option is not enabled.
Still, the system react as if the option was on. Am I missing something here? So far, this product seems great but the problem I mention here is quite annoying in my workflow, also I wouldn't expect this kind of behaviour from such an expensive product, so surely I think I am missing something, but if anyone could help me to point to me what...
By the way, if i use the mouse to click on the the stars to set the rating on a specific image, only this picture will be rated. So it seems there is something strange when using the shortcuts...

Sorted out!
Will post the solution here in case anyone is in the same situation later on: I had to redefine my keyboard shortcuts in C1. I am using C1 in english, have Mac OS in French, and have also a customised physical keyboard on my mac book pro (originally a US machine bought in UK through ebay, on which i have changed a few keys in order to have some letters specific to French).
I remapped the keyboard after I customised it, but then all keyboards shortcuts aren't behaving as they should in C1. So i' ll have some reconfig to do, but at least nothing that can't be fixed.0
