interesting to compare with rawtherapee (no sharpening, maximum color noise reduction, HPHD demosaicing)

There was a lovely feature in 3x versions - Color Noise Removing. If I moved the slider to 100%, I was getting a nice grain without color noise that reminded a film grain and looked very well.

Using Olympus E3 files, certain colours were heavily affected (selective desaturation) when sliding up to 100 with version 4.51 and viewing at 100%.
Although perhaps not meant to be used a 100%, this should not happen.
Don't know if 4.6 is any better with this, I now apply noise red. in P.P.

When I tried to use it on less %, not all color noise was removed (it was still possible to see magenta or cyan grains) - although in 3x version C1 was making it very well. Also the grain itself looked more 'natural', more round, like a film grain...
