moving session between laptop and desktop

I did some brief culling and editing (mostly white balance and crops) on a session on my laptop before copying the entire session folder over to my desktop machine. The white balance corrections do not seem to have carried over. Did I miss an important step? Isn't it as simple as copying the entire session folder over to the new machine?

  Yes it should work like that. So to be clear, you didn't try to import the images into any session or catalog on the desktop? You just copied the entire session folder and then opened that copied session on the desktop?

  Yep. Just copied the entire folder over. The crop adjustments all seem to be there, and most of the white balance adjustments. I must not completed all the white balance adjustments before copying the folder over.

  I would pack the photos as EIP first (Select all > Images > Pack EIP), then move the session folder.
