    Nice.

A little observation is that the screenshots referring to version 10.2 show 10.1 up top. In the release notes as well.

    Actually not nice.

Barely the bug fix that 10.1.2 should have been.

Preview generation still takes an abhorrent 3x longer than version 10.0.2 to start with!

Let me know if you guys are hiring someone for QA... 😜

    Hello Everyone,

I opened Capture One and hit check for updates and nothing came up. What am I missing. The bugs in the current version are driving me nuts to the point I am having to use Lightroom. 🤬 🤬

    Thanks you all,

    Roger

You may find it takes a day or two to appear if you use Check for updates, but you can go straight to the Phase One website and download the latest version right now.

    Thanks Christian. Sounds good.

Where should I send it to? I may ship it on a pallet. 😂

You might find several of my references attempting to warn you about how anal I can be at times, but I think I have plenty of banter and dark humour to balance out. Ask my driving instructor. 😉

I'm based just outside of London atm.

    Cheers

    Sweet. Done.

About enjoying 10.2, it seems alright on my Canon files.

On my Fuji files however, version 10.1 introduced this weird rendering flaw, that I can't pin-point without much inside knowledge of the overall architecture and post-demosaic processing of the raw file. It's almost as if either there is poor to no pixel smoothing being done; or the detail slider is stuck at 100% under the hood irrespective to the Noise Reduction tool.

    Thanks,

    -Gus

If you haven't done so already, please open a case with our Support team.
Be sure to attach raw with adjustments (could be packed as an eip), correct and incorrect rendering, recipe options and hardware description.

In Windows, user styles (preview and application) speed is MUCH improved for styles with a long list of adjustments. I was about to file a support case asking for some way to turn previews off since they were so agonizingly slow before.

    Thanks.

Yes, back in May. Went through the whole process and was assured that it was being escalated to developers and R&D (as support couldn't replicate the issue).

I'm studying image processing techniques a bit more in depth now, so might be able to try again soon and make a more educated guess.

And, we have a new bug, I think.
When drawing a gradient mask, the mask itself is not visible, so it's hard to tell where coverage is. If you re-draw it, the pre-existing mask shows up, but not the one being drawn. This is apparent only in the gradient mask tool.

I found the same thing in that the mask doesn't show when using the gradient but does when using the brush.

I've reported it to technical support; I presume you have too?

Have you tried to set hardware acceleration to Never? Does it change anything?

It seems to work as it should on a MacBook. (Hardware acceleration switched off, but I am not sure whether that makes a difference.)

as far as i remember, the mask did never show up when drawing a gradient mask.
Instead, a thin line is shown, that's fading out to the end of the gradient.

you may want to turn 'mask on' before drawing the gradient. After releasing the mouse, the mask should be visible.

I contacted technical support & they've been able to replicate the same problem so are now aware of it.

Hopefully with the next update it will be back to how it should be... 😀

I hope they release a hot fix for this ASAP so we don't have to wait months for a dot release.

Considering that he's a beta tester, he should know better than to update a production environment in the field.

    🙄

I agree. Maybe it was not critical to his assignments
My personal rule (I'm a beta teste as well 😊 ) do not install new release on production computer at least one week after itwas launched...
And very practical for me to check The Capture Integration blog for recommendations regarding new updates

    Hi all,

so are the release notes wrong? Do they refer to the 10.1 update?
I am interested if there were further updates to the Fujifilm raw files.

Were there any new features added, or is it a strictly a bugfixing/updated support release?

No? Not sure what you mean since it clearly states 10.2 in the header...

There was OpenCL acceleration for X-Trans files and some camera support on 10.1, but nothing else as far as I can tell.

Actually I have an issue if anything, that came with 10.1 update, about rendering/sharpening Fuji files and is still present in 10.2 (but not the previous 10.0.2).

    Hi gusferlizi,
    I should've been more specific.

I got a notification for an update, and it took me to this page:
    https://www.phaseone.com/en/Products/So ... s-new.aspx

The header says 10.2 but the video and the main content refers to the changes in 10.1. I think it was mentioned multiple times already.

It does say 10.1 in the paragraph, but I assumed it was a typo, since the header clearly says 10.2. It's quite a bit confusing.
So I guess there aren't any new features in 10.2.

    Oh right. Yep.

    Hi,
10.2.0.74 crashes every Time i crop or rotate an RAW-File from de EOS 5D III.
After cropping the Image will not be rendert again.. i can move all Sliders or Curvetools but nothing takes an Effect to the Image.
The Software freezes and i have to kill it.

After restart the Crop was applied to the Image and i can now undo or crop again whitout Problems..
But every Time i crop a "new" Image the same is going one..

Files from the EOS M3 making no Problems..

You might want to see what happens if you clear temp files and cache.

However it would probably also help to create a Support Case and have Phase help you to check out what is happening.

    HTH.

    Hi Grant,
i already contacted the Support, and i found out a litte more by trying a view Things.

So this Problem is not related only to 10.2...
Reinstalled 10.1 and here the same Problem..
The 5DIII is also new to me so the i don't realise the Probleme before.
Here the Copy and Paste from the Supportcase..

    ***************
    Hi,
i tryed a view things and found out a little more..
First i have to say that the 5dIII was also new to me, and the Problem is not related only to 10.2.
I reinstalled 10.1 and there is the same Problem.
It also does not matter if i had turned on or off the hardware Accleration.

BUT... now i can confine the problem..

I have 2 Screens running on a Gforce GTX 960.
1 -> 22" contains the Tools, Viewer... Browser...
2-> 27" 4K shows only the "big" Viewer (when hitting F10)

So when i closed the big Viewer on de big Screen, so C1 is only running at one Screen, there is NO Problem with cropping 5DIII Files..

Only when the second viewer is on the second screen the Problem appears.
And ONLY with the 5DIII Files...
The M3 Files can be croped bei using both Viewers on both Screens..
    ******************

This Morning i tried also to have the "big" Viewer on, but put it also on the 22"er HD Screen-> No Problem..
Sadly dont tried whats happend if the complete C1 with both Viewers runs on the 27" 4K... will trie later when i'm home from work..

    Problem solved..
It does not make sense to me why this is only with the 5DIII Files, but the Tipp from the Supportcrew to change the Previewsize to 3840p (because the 4K Screen) works..
