    Well all web images should be 72 dpi and I know sRGB is a web colour space as its got a really small range of colours but I always use Adobe1998 RGB and have never had any problems.

    Well, that is because you view your images with a color managed browser, i.e. Safari. All other (less fortunate) people on the planet will probably see desaturated low contrast images.
