V6 lasted half a day before going back to V5
So I gave V6 a shot on a shoot today. I was just hoping for performance improvements - really none of the features pushed seem to matter for my capture setup. And yes I was aware of the capture folder preview bug.
2 big issues-
in the middle of the session in the new next capture naming drop down box - all of the choices like set & reset counter were greyed out.
they were ok earlier in the shoot then after an hour I was going to a new folder and set it as capture folder and I was unable to set the counter to zero or anything for that matter. i shut down C1, went to different folders, created new ones, everything but start from a new session. I didn't want to do that in the middle of a shoot and I shouldn't have too.
the next thing was if you delete a file in the browser the next selected image jumps up to the first frame. that is so annoying during a shoot. when new versions of C1 come out I am skeptical that it is ever tested on a real shoot. Plus what happened to 5.3 through 5.9?
Can we ever get the big highlighted thumbs like in 3.7 with the user's system color? That thin white border still isn't doing it

so an update from my support case.
The upcoming update will fix the capture folder preview issue but he didnt say if it will specifically fix the missing menu items.
and it will not include a fix for when you delete a file and it jumps to the first image.
too bad
I wish phase one would do a public beta or with more people because these bugs are really easy to find after an hour of shooting. I dont know who is doing testing for them but it can be alot better. Adobe did a public beta for CS3 and I still prefer it over CS4 and CS5.0 -

We simply lack the resources for a Public Beta. The Test Group is quite large however and covers a large variety of shooters.0
