    Here's a quick screengrab of the Process Tool;

    You can open almost any supported RAW file in Capture One and then "Process" it into a DNG. What files is this friend using?

    I have a friend who is very interested in using, C1, but he also wants to convert his files to DNG, which is what he is now doing with ACR. Is this possible with C1, or must he first do the conversion in ACR and then import to C1?

    Rob sell him your Pentax, then he can just use in camera DNG - no conversion, no pain.

    Drew,

    He uses a Canon 1DS Mark III. What you are suggesting is that he can set DNG as the output format, but he cannot import as DNG, as one can with ACR/Lightroom. That might work for him. Thanks.

    Rob,
    That is correct. He will have to shoot CR2 and then access the files in C1, exporting as DNG. From there he will have an archival DNG file and the original RAW CR2 files.
