Forced to run C1 v5.1 non pro in administrator mode
To alter settings of my RAW files I'm forced to run C1 v5.1 using the icon's context menu and selecting "run as administrator". Is this normal? To run the software the normal way should I do anything else after software installation? I'm running C1 on Windows 7 64x under the administrator user (whith which I installed C1)
Thanks for your help.

This is not the normal or intended behavior. CO 5 behaves very well as a regular Win32 application should do: install with administrator privileges and run with user privileges.
However, it sounds whether that perhaps your images have been copied to your local hard drive with the administrative user account. CO 5 now only can adjust those images with that account. Not a CO 5 issue but a Windows user permissions issue, if that is the case.0 -
My particular situation is as follows: I run C1 with the same user with administrator privileges that installed the software. The pictures, though, are located in external hard disks that were not created or copied with this user. In fact, as I have just migrated from an old PC, these pics were copied by a different user of an XP OS.

That's your problem, then. Windows thinks you are trying to modify someone else's files and won't let you unless you run as administrator.

Agree, and now for the solution: modify the files and folder permission on the external drive.0 -
Thank you very much for your help. I'll do it as stated.
