User-defined ICC profile folders!!
We've got lots of custom ICC profiles and we're making new ones all the time!
How cool would it be to be able to ORGANIZE them. Like B/W profiles, flash profiles, daylight profiles, all neatly arranged in their own folders, defined by us, the users! Not just Phase One, Nikon, then \"Other\"...

Yes, I already manually organise my Colorsync profiles into folders (Workspaces, Input RGB, Output RGB, Output CMYK) and discard those I never use.
You have raised an important point which has annoyed me for ages: Why do Capture One installs insist of dumping ca. 100 camera profiles that I will never use in my Colorsync profiles folder? These profiles can only be used by Capture One, so why not embed them in the application package itself?
By putting the extra profiles in the Colorsync folder, the profiles show up in every other colorsync-aware software (e.g. softproof menu in Photoshop) unless the user manually deletes them from their system.

Edit: I've just read your original post again, and now realise you are talking about how the profiles appear in folders within Capture One. Apologies! Personally, I haven't found this too much of a problem as I use the Recommended setting nearly all the time.0 -
You've raised another issue, which is installing (any) new version of C1, or other RAW processors on your working drive, which never allows for customization...
But do I understand you organize your profiles within C1? Because as far as I can tell, that's not possible...0 -
Gleebitz,
>But do I understand you organize your profiles within C1?
No, sorry, I was editing my post when you replied. I had misunderstood your original message. I was referring to how I organise the profiles within my Library/Colorsync/Profiles folder. These changes do not show up in the profile menus of Capture One. I don't think you can change the way the latter are organised.
Apologies for the diversion,
