Can we have a video or two provided to us in a support case?
Maybe the way the date is written is not something we have anticipated as there are many different date formats to choose from.

Thank you for the File in the support case.
It appears that the file itself has no Metadata that reflects the date, only information that is written in later by the OS. As such, it is not what we expect to find in a file and therefore cannot read what is not present. This can be seen in many other software's such as Quicktime, VLC, etc.
We'll see if we can't work around this in a future version to defer to the OS date.

Thanks for the very quick support. The video is straight out of camera from a D800 running 1080p/25. I notice in Aperture as well that no metadata is read from the file, so perhaps the camera doesn't attach metadata to the files? Aperture does however report the date, presumably via the file creation date as you mention.

    Regards,
    Andreas

Correct. As such we'll need to find a workaround as Aperture likely has.
