Understanding How to Use C1 4.8 to Process Nikon NEF File
I have just downloaded the trial version of 4.8 and as many others have commented the tutorial videos are limited.
I currently use Adobe Bridge to browse, view my images and then open them in Adobe Camera Raw for early photo manipulation and then onto Photoshop.
Comparing the Raw image in C1 to Adobe Bridge the difference is oustounding between the two. Images in C1 are crisper and much better color resolution. What I am wondering is how do I push the raw file into Photoshop while maintianing the image reproduction of C1? I would like a simplistic explanation, ie. step by step, please.
Thanks,
doug

Basic concept of Capture One 4 (CO4) is that you open raw files (your NEFs), do your adjustments (color, exposure, crop etc.) from your preview on screen in the Viewer and finally process the result into a TIFF or JPEG file. This output file you open in Photoshop.
To set your output parameters go to the Output tool tab. Here you find the output options like file quality, profile, size and application to open the output with. You can select Photoshop here or open the output file manually.0 -
Hi D.,
I have never found a way, and I do not think there is a way. C1 and PH use different ways to store processing data...
