Media Pro and Samsung SRW files!
Hello Everybody!
Could you please be so kind and tell me if the release 1.4 is able to render raw files from Samsung NX300 and NX2000 cameras. So far Phase One 7 and 8 is able to render them. Do I have to convert them to DGN first?
Thanks in Advance! - Tiberius

I think that's always a very good start of the workflow!0 -

I think this is a very bad/unnecessary way to start your workflow.
But this is just my own humble opinion.0 -

Starting with an open documented format seems better to me than cope with all kind of different legacy format RAW's. Every few years your camera is replaces by a new model. You get a new RAW format for free...
The NEF's from my D70 are not the same as from my D90 and now D600. All NEF but all different.
Take a look at: http://www.dpbestflow.org/DNG for a balanced explanation of the DNG format.
From file management perspective i especialy like the DNG validate option in Lightroom to check if all my files are still uncorrupted..0 -
Its a fair point and the link you sent does push all the advantages but do not begin to touch the disadvantage.
There is to date probably 50+ different types of DNG files.
Some RAW, some processed image data and some which is not even a image files.
Now I will leave this here and this thread as run it course since it was about support for Samsung and now is something completely different.0
