development & quickproof gone berserk

I use Capture One version 3.6.0.88 on a pc. My camera is a Canon 1Ds. Yesterday evening the quickproof and development of C1 went berserk. Although I have not touched the cropping tool, it crops all my pictures (old and new) to square. At the bottom it leafs a black strip. And it gets the orientation of the pictures wrong. In the C1 previews everything seems perfect though.
I have developed more than 10.000 pictures with C1 in the past year and a half. Despite the bugs, I have so far never had any big problems. But this is really the kind of bug I find utterly unacceptable. I have clients waiting. NOW !
Hope to get some serious help from Phase One staff within a couple of hours!!

  Further info. The problem persists, but only for part of my (old & new) folders. Not for all of them. I find no logic whatsoever in which folders are 'infected' (??) and which are not.
