    Try either of:

    1) turning off OpenCL (in CO10 change "Preferences -> General -> Hardware Acceleration: Display" from "Auto" to "Never")

    2) change the Mac's screen scaling back to the default (in Mac System Preferences change "Displays -> Display -> Resolution" to "Default for display")

Most of CO10's performance gains rely on a fast GPU, which is a problem for many Macs. On my laptop in particular, I get *worse* performance using the discrete GPU than I do with the built-in Intel GPU. This is probably because the bottleneck is moving the data to the card rather than the card itself. Both of the above work on my machine by reducing or eliminating the GPU memory bandwidth bottleneck.

I'm having issues with slow performance and intermittent unresponsiveness

The machine will have plenty of resources available (CPU almost 40% idle, and over 3GB of RAM free) when the poor performance occurs. Has anyone else seen this? None of my other resource intensive applications are affected. It seems to only be C1.

    2016 tbMBP 2.9GHz, 8GB of RAM.

Please specify what you do exactly, when you experience bad performance?
