HELP!! All images come out of focus on the viewer
Hello,
I have a Canon 5D Mark II. The problem is that all images come out of focus on the viewer. When I click on any thumbnail of the browser, the image appear ok but after 5 seconds it comes automatically out of focus. It seems like the software is applying to all images a blur filter. As you can understand it is impossible to manipulate an image if from the begining the image looks completely different.
Please I need some help, i havent been able to process or manipulate any image due to all of them look completely out of focus and its really exasperating.
Has any one had the same problem?
I have thought this migh be caused because of the size of the viewer, some times when I contract the size of the viewer the focus of the image remain ok. But i need to work with a big viewer instead of a really reduced viewer.
Thanks for all the help.
Ana.

Hi, I am not able to reproduce what you describe. I use both the viewer in the main program Windows as well as the second separate Viewer window (CO Pro) on both my monitors. Image and sharpness reproduction are beyond any doubt here.
I am on CO 4.6.3 Pro, OS X 10.5.6, Intel Mac (MacBook Pro). You did not provide such details, which might be relevant.0 -
I suspect you are working with High ISO images? Lower the amount of noise reduction applied to the images and they will look much better. 0 -
I can confirm that problem too.
The noise reduction sliders both are at 0!
While opening raw file from 5DmkII the picture is sharp and looks very promising, then after couple of seconds C1PRO4.6.3 seems to apply a very strange filter by its own. And ruin the image.
MacOS X 10.5.6 15.4" MacBookPro with LED backlit LCD. And LG CRT display to additionally check the colors. Everything is calibrated with Spider2PRO.0 -
hi,
try moving the noise-reduction sliders a bit and return them to zero.
that´s a problem some people (me included) have, that despite setting the default NR-values to zero, the old default NR values are applied.
the effect is usually most visible at high ISO images.
I made myself a style with zero NR that I apply to all new images.
